Rs 10,000 cr for Hyd development: Deputy CM

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka has urged NAREDCO (National Real Estate Development Council) to promote Telangana’s resources and investment opportunities widely. He emphasized that the state government has robust plans to ensure balanced development across all parts of Hyderabad.

The three-day property show organized by NAREDCO at HITEX was inaugurated on Friday by Bhatti Vikramarka, along with Minister Jupally Krishna Rao. During the event, they also released the official NAREDCO brochure.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Deputy CM highlighted key initiatives for urban development and the real estate sector. He assured that the government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, is committed to addressing issues faced by developers and realtors (real estate agents or professionals).

Significant funding for urban growth Bhatti Vikramarka revealed that the state allocates ₹10,000 crore annually for Hyderabad’s development, and ₹20,000 crore has been spent over the past two years. The planned Regional Ring Road, connecting all areas of the city, is expected to transform Hyderabad’s landscape. He also confirmed the government’s commitment to beautifying the Musi River.

Addressing concerns about the real estate market, the Deputy CM dismissed rumors of a slowdown, citing record land prices in Raidurg as evidence of the city’s rapid growth.

Protecting government lands - ‘HYDRAA’ initiative The government’s “HYDRAA” project is actively preventing encroachments on government lands and lakes. Vikramarka also announced the city’s expansion of electric buses, with plans to operate a fully electric fleet in the future, along with associated tax exemptions.

On urban infrastructure, he said the government plans to invest ₹4,000 crore in new sewage treatment plants (STPs) to improve water sanitation. Metro rail expansion is also underway in all four directions of the city.

Focus on education and healthcare Vikramarka revealed plans to establish 100 schools meeting international standards. Construction of government super-specialty hospitals is already in progress. He urged developers to focus not only on luxury villas and high-rise buildings but also on projects catering to middle and lower middle class families. Additionally, he encouraged CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) funds to be used extensively in education and healthcare.

The Deputy CM concluded by recognizing realtors and builders as wealth creators and partners in Hyderabad’s growth.
