RRC South Central Railway invites applications for 61 Sports Quota posts

The Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC), South Central Railway (SCR), has announced the recruitment of 61 sportspersons under the Sports Quota for the year 2025. An official notification has been released on the SCR website inviting online applications from eligible candidates between October 25 and November 24, 2025. According to the notification, the recruitment is being conducted to fill vacancies in various divisions and headquarters under South Central Railway. A total of 61 posts have been notified, including 21 under the SCR Head Quarters, Secunderabad quota, and 10 under the Headquarters quota. The remaining posts are distributed among the Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Guntakal, and Nanded divisions, each having five vacancies.

Applicants are required to have passed at least the 10th standard, 12th standard, or possess an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) qualification or equivalent. Candidates holding a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by the National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) are also eligible. For posts carrying Grade Pay levels 1900/2000, a minimum qualification of 12th standard or its equivalent examination is mandated.

The age limit for applicants has been fixed between 18 and 25 years as on January 1, 2026. No relaxation in age has been specified beyond the limits prescribed, though category-based relaxations may apply as per government rules. Candidates belonging to general categories are required to pay an application fee of ₹500, while those from Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, women candidates, minorities, and economically backward classes are required to pay ₹250.

The selection process will be conducted through a combination of document verification and performance assessment in sports trials. Shortlisted candidates, after an initial scrutiny of applications by a Scrutiny Committee, will be called for document verification. Those found eligible will subsequently undergo trials conducted by a Trial Committee to evaluate their sporting abilities. The assessment of sports achievements and educational qualifications will also be considered in the final selection.

For vacancies under the Head Quarters quota, the selection process will be administered by the South Central Railway headquarters at Secunderabad, while divisional quota recruitments will be handled by the respective divisional offices. The detailed schedule for the verification and trial processes will be communicated to shortlisted candidates through the official website.

Applicants have been advised to read all the instructions carefully before filling out the online application form. It has been made mandatory for candidates to possess a valid Aadhaar number, active email ID, and mobile number before registration.
