
Rohtak Royals edge Bhiwani Bulls in thriller to clinch Kabaddi Champions League crown
In a contest that had fans on the edge of their seats till the very last raid, Rohtak Royals defeated Bhiwani Bulls 32-30 to lift the inaugural Kabaddi Champions League trophy on Saturday, capping off their campaign with grit, discipline and nerves of steel.
The Royals set the tone early. Within the first five minutes, they inflicted the first All-Out , racing to a commanding 9-3 lead and putting the Bulls under immediate pressure. Their aggressive raids and tight defence gave the impression that the final might turn into a one-sided affair.
But Bhiwani had other plans, led by a spirited Sourav , the Bulls clawed their way back into the match, reducing the deficit to 10-7 and steadily building momentum. With clever raids and sharp tackles, they narrowed the gap to just a point and even pushed the Royals to the brink of an All-Out, turning the final into a tense battle of survival.
Just when the pressure peaked, Rohtak showed why they were favourites.
Rakesh Singroha starred with eight points , anchoring the attack, while Milan Dahiya added five . Valuable contributions from Vijay Malik, Sandeep Deswal and Aryan , who chipped in with three points each, kept the scoreboard ticking.
In the closing minutes, the Royals displayed composure beyond measure. A disciplined defence and timely raids helped them regain control and protect their slim lead until the final whistle.
With the win, Rohtak Royals not only etched their name in history as the first champions but also walked away with a ₹51 lakh prize cheque , marking a memorable night for the team and their supporters.
A thrilling final, a narrow margin, and a deserving champion, kabaddi could not have asked for a better debut league finale.
