Rohit Pawar, Abhijit Dipke Join Student Protest Over Exam Irregularities in Maharashtra
A student protest over alleged examination irregularities , including paper leaks and recruitment concerns, witnessed political participation in Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar on Monday.
Rohit Pawar and Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke addressed the gathering organised by the Maharashtra Rajya Vidyarthi Kruti Samiti outside the divisional commissioner’s office .
The protest centred on alleged lapses in the education and recruitment system , particularly concerns related to the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) results and earlier recruitment examinations.
Speaking at the event, Pawar raised questions over the transparency of MPSC results , alleging issues in numbering patterns and missing official signatures . He claimed these irregularities reflected deeper systemic problems that required immediate correction.
He also referred to earlier allegations of paper leaks in recruitment exams , including the Talathi recruitment process , stating that abnormal scoring patterns had raised doubts over fairness and merit. He said the movement aimed at ensuring accountability and transparency in the system.
Pawar further criticised the growing reliance on online examinations , arguing that such systems could increase the scope for malpractice while also being inefficient in practice.
Abhijeet Dipke , whose organisation has been protesting at Jantar Mantar in Delhi for several days, said the agitation would continue until justice for students was ensured.
He strongly condemned remarks made against protesters, saying students were being unfairly labelled. Dipke also demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, holding him responsible for alleged failures in the examination system.
Referring to comments by BJP leader Nitin Nabin, he said the movement represented student rights and accountability , and not disruption. He added that protests would continue in Delhi until their demands were addressed.
The ongoing agitation under the banner of the Maharashtra Rajya Vidyarthi Kruti Samiti has drawn support from students, activists, and civil society members, highlighting rising concerns over exam transparency and recruitment integrity .
