RoboGenius Launches 'Built To Build AI' Initiative for Indian Schools

As Artificial Intelligence (AI) rapidly transforms industries and workplaces, schools are under growing pressure to equip students with the skills needed for an AI-driven future. Seeking to bridge this gap, RoboGenius, one of India's leading STEM education organisations, has launched the "Built To Build AI" initiative, introducing LEGO® Education Computer Science & AI and LEGO® Education Science learning solutions to classrooms across the country.

As an official LEGO® Education reseller, RoboGenius aims to help students move beyond simply using AI applications to understanding how intelligent systems are designed, tested and deployed responsibly. The initiative aligns with the objectives of NEP 2020 and India's broader IndiaAI Mission, both of which promote experiential learning, digital literacy and future-ready skills.

The programme will initially target IB schools and A and A+ CBSE schools in Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Vadodara, before expanding nationwide. RoboGenius plans to partner with more than 100 schools by March 2027. Besides providing classroom kits, the company will organise AI workshops, teacher training programmes, classroom demonstrations and collaborative learning events to help educators integrate AI into everyday teaching.

The LEGO® Education Computer Science & AI solution introduces primary-grade students to computational thinking, AI concepts, ethics and responsible AI through collaborative LEGO-based activities, while the LEGO® Education Science platform offers curriculum-aligned, inquiry-driven science learning that promotes experimentation and real-world problem-solving.

The launch comes as AI literacy gains global importance. Research commissioned by LEGO® Education found that 69% of teachers consider AI literacy essential for students' futures, while 40% believe their schools are not adequately prepared to teach AI responsibly. The programme addresses this gap by enabling students to build, test and refine AI-powered projects while learning about data quality, bias, privacy and ethical decision-making.

Founded in 2006 (formerly Techtronics Education), RoboGenius has partnered with over 3,500 schools, trained more than 12,000 teachers, reached over 800,000 students and established 2,000-plus STEM laboratories across India.
