RITES invites applications for 600 Senior Technical Assistant posts

Rail India Technical and Economic Service (RITES), a Government of India enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, has invited online applications for 600 Senior Technical Assistant posts. The recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies across multiple engineering disciplines, offering a significant opportunity for diploma and science graduates seeking technical roles in the public sector.

Applicants with a full-time Diploma in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, Chemical, Metallurgy, or allied engineering branches, or a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry, are eligible to apply. The selection process will comprise two stages — a written test and document verification. The written test is scheduled for November 23, 2025, and will consist of 125 objective-type questions to be answered within 2.5 hours. There will be no negative marking, and candidates must secure at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwD candidates) to qualify for the next round. The test carries full weightage in the final selection.

Selected candidates will receive a gross monthly salary of ₹29,735, with an approximate annual CTC of ₹3.56 lakh. The application fee has been fixed at ₹300 for General and OBC candidates, while EWS, SC, ST, and PwD applicants are required to pay ₹100, in addition to applicable taxes.
