Rising young singer Saadya earns praise from Chief Minister

Saadya, a talented young vocalist from Kakumanu in Guntur district, has been winning admiration on international music stages at an impressively early age. With confident solo performances and a melodious voice, she has achieved a rare feat - 22 national and international awards from 22 competitions.

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu met Saadya and her parents, Swaira and Siri Krishna, at the Secretariat and congratulated her on her accomplishments. Her parents explained that her musical journey has taken her to several countries and prestigious global platforms.

Saadya has performed solo at renowned venues including Harvard University, York University, and the San Francisco War Memorial Opera House. She has secured seven first prizes, seven second prizes, and two third prizes, along with three honorary awards and three special awards. She has showcased her talent in top-tier competitions such as the Euro Elite International Music Competition, the Canadian International Music Competition, and the Royal Mase International Music Competition.

The Chief Minister praised the encouragement given by Saadya’s parents and expressed confidence that she would continue to achieve greater success. Saadya is the granddaughter of the chairman of Katuri Medical College and Hospital in Kondapaturu.

Currently studying in Grade 7 at The International School of Bengaluru, Saadya recently won the prestigious Special Venue Awards. This recognition opened doors for her to perform at exclusive international recitals at Harvard University and the San Francisco Opera House.

At Harvard, she had the rare opportunity to collaborate with university faculty, who accompanied her on the piano during her performance. At the San Francisco Opera House, she received instrumental support from Dr. Aki of the San Francisco Philharmonic.

Her exceptional performances in Western vocal music, contemporary styles, and Broadway musical theatre earned widespread appreciation. Her school celebrated her achievements on social media, describing her journey as a combination of pure talent, dedication, and growing international recognition.
