RGV And 'Saiyaara' Director Mohit Suri Team Up For A Two Hero Gangster Drama

Ram Gopal Varma and Mohit Suri are cooking up a very different cinematic combination after the blockbuster success of 'Saiyaara'. RGV has now revealed that he is teaming up with Suri for his next film, describing the project as a “LOVE DISH full of GANGSTER CURRY”, and promised that more details will be “SERVED VERY VERY SOON.”

Varma shared a selfie with Suri on X on September 13, instantly setting off curiosity about their unexpected collaboration. While the filmmaker’s post did not reveal the title or cast, a fresh report has now provided more details about the project.

According to Pinkvilla, the film is planned as a two hero gangster drama, with YRF backing the project as producer. The report further claims that Varma has written the script, while Suri will direct it. Suri is said to have connected strongly with the material after being presented with the script and decided to take it forward as his next directorial venture after his upcoming film with Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda.

The casting could make the project even more interesting. Both male characters are reportedly equally important to the story, prompting Suri to look for two top stars to headline the film. The casting process is expected to begin soon, although no names have been officially announced yet.

The collaboration also brings together two filmmakers known for very different strengths. Varma has explored the gangster genre throughout his career, while Suri has built his recent success around intense romance and emotionally charged music. Their combination could therefore deliver exactly what RGV hinted at: love served with gangster flavour.

Meanwhile, Suri still has another major project lined up with 'Saiyaara' stars Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda. Their next romantic film is expected to begin shooting around October-November 2026.

For now, the title, two heroes and other cast members remain under wraps. But with RGV’s script, Suri’s direction and YRF’s backing, this “gangster curry” has already become one of Bollywood’s most intriguing upcoming projects.
