Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has approved the release of approximately ₹7,358 crore in pending dues for state government employees and retirees, accumulated under the previous administration.

In a high-level meeting with the Finance Department, the Chief Minister instructed immediate clearance of these bills based on available funds. Officials confirmed that ₹1,848 crore under Provident Fund arrears has already been credited to employee accounts, while ₹76 crore was released for 4,793 beneficiaries under Group Life Insurance. Additionally, ₹3,411 crore is allocated for gratuity payments and ₹1,800 crore for leave encashment for retired employees.

The government has also prioritized ₹223 crore pending for police officers’ additional surrendered leave, ensuring full disbursement within two days. Small contractors who supplied materials or completed government works will receive priority, with ₹614 crore already released to them.

Naidu criticized the previous administration for diverting employees’ funds and harassing employee representatives. He stressed that employee rights must be protected and directed the Finance Department to continue clearing all pending bills promptly as funds become available.
