Maruti Suzuki is witnessing one of its strongest festive seasons in the past decade, with bookings soaring to 2.5 lakh vehicles and exports growing by 50%. Partho Banerjee, Senior Executive Officer of Marketing & Sales, said the demand for Navratri has been “unprecedented.”

In just the first eight days, 1,65,000 vehicles were delivered, and the company expects to reach 2 lakh deliveries by Dussehra, surpassing records from the past ten years. Last year’s Navratri deliveries were around 1 lakh vehicles, highlighting nearly double the sales this year.

The surge in demand is attributed to the recent GST reforms, which prompted buyers who had delayed purchases to book cars. Daily bookings, which previously hovered around 10,000, have now risen to 18,000 per day, with small cars showing 100% growth, and metropolitan cities witnessing 35-40% growth.

Exports are also thriving, with 42,000 vehicles shipped abroad, and production teams are working on Sundays and holidays to meet the high demand. Dealers and finance partners are working round the clock to ensure timely deliveries, capitalizing on the positivity from GST 2.0 reforms.

This festive season, Maruti Suzu ki’s performance underscores both the pent-up consumer demand and the company’s operational agility, setting a benchmark in the automotive sector.
