
Record Devotee Rush At Tirumala With Over 91,000 Darshans In A Day
With the weekend rush coinciding with summer holidays , the Tirumala hills witnessed an overwhelming influx of devotees. TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu stated that on May 2 , a record number of devotees had darshan of the Lord.
On a single Saturday, 91,005 devotees had darshan of the deity, while 36,257 devotees offered their hair as part of fulfilling their vows, he said.
The Chairman emphasised that priority is being given to common devotees and efforts are being made to further improve services. He noted that the TTD administration is continuously monitoring arrangements to ensure that devotees waiting in compartments and queue lines do not face any inconvenience.
In view of the intense summer heat , extensive arrangements have been made for the comfort of devotees, he added.He further stated that for devotees waiting for long hours in queues, TTD staff and Srivari Sevaks are providing Anna Prasadam, milk, buttermilk, and chilled drinking water without interruption.
All necessary facilities are being provided adequately, and regular updates on darshan timings and other information are being communicated to devotees through the information system, he said.
Meanwhile, despite the record surge in devotees , B.R. Naidu assured that there is no shortage of Srivari Laddu prasadam , and necessary steps have been taken to ensure continuous availability in line with the heavy rush.
