Ravi Teja’s ‘Mass Jathara’ faces release reshuffle amid ‘Baahubali’ re-release buzz

Ravi Teja’s upcoming action entertainer Mass Jathara was all set to hit theatres on October 31, sparking excitement among fans. Directed by Bhanu Bhogavarapu, the film features Sreeleela as the female lead and is produced by Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya under the banners of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas.

However, the release date may undergo a slight change due to the re-release of S.S. Rajamouli’s epic masterpiece Baahubali: The Epic on the same day. Producers are now reportedly considering postponing the release to November 1 to avoid a direct clash.

Originally slated for a Diwali release last year, Mass Jathara has faced multiple delays due to extended shooting schedules and reshoots. The team had planned for a solo October 31 release, but Baahubali’s massive comeback combining both parts into a single cinematic experience has intensified competition at the box office.

The re-release has already created a storm in major cities like Hyderabad and Bengaluru, with thousands of tickets selling out within 24 hours. Seeing this unprecedented buzz, producer Naga Vamsi is reportedly considering a strategy of paid premieres on October 31 night, followed by regular shows from November 1.

In a recent interview, Naga Vamsi said, “Baahubali is a pride of Indian cinema. Rather than competing with its re-release, we might shift our release to November 1. A final decision will be made after discussions with distributors.”

The much-awaited trailer of Mass Jathara is scheduled to be unveiled on October 27, where an official confirmation on the release date is expected. While the repeated postponements have caused concern among fans, the teaser’s positive reception has revived optimism.
