Rashmika Mandanna Unveils Intense Teaser for Action Thriller Mysaa

Rashmika Mandanna has unveiled the intense teaser of her upcoming pan-India action drama Mysaa, offering a glimpse of her fierce new avatar as a Gond tribal woman caught in an emotional and physically demanding journey.

The nearly two-minute teaser was released on Sunday, September 20, and introduces Rashmika as Mysaa, a determined woman who refuses to surrender despite the challenges surrounding her. The teaser opens with her character saying, “I am tired, I have stopped, I have lost,” before shifting into a series of intense action sequences.

Set against the world of the Gond community and tribal lands, the period action drama combines raw combat with an emotional storyline. The teaser suggests that Mysaa is on a mission to find her father, with her character vowing to continue the search until her last breath. She is shown battling multiple opponents, fighting through muddy terrain, riding a bike and taking on enemies with a sickle. One of the striking moments shows her sitting at the bottom of a body of water while holding the weapon.

The underwater action is among the film’s biggest highlights. The makers have described the sequence as India’s first female-led underwater fight sequence, with Rashmika performing the action without a body double. She reportedly spent nearly 20 hours underwater over two days while filming the sequence. At the teaser launch, Rashmika also spoke about the difficulty of shooting underwater and the demanding physical preparation required for the film.

Directed by debutant Rawindra Pulle, Mysaa is mounted as a large-scale period action drama. Pulle has also co-written the screenplay with Rajkumar Kandamudi. The technical team includes cinematographer Shreyaas Krishna, editor Karthika Srinivas R and composer Jakes Bejoy. International action choreographer Andy Long and action choreographer Kecha have worked on the film’s combat sequences.

The film also features Eshwari Rao, Rahul Ravindran, Samuthirakani, Rao Ramesh, Shiva Kandukuri, Karthik Ranjini, Tarak Ponnappa and Nidhi Singh in supporting roles. Produced by Ajay Saipureddy, Anil Sayyapureddy and Veerasai Gopa under the Unformula Films banner, Mysaa is scheduled to release worldwide in theatres on November 27, 2026, in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
