Rani Mukerji’s ‘Mardaani’ 3 gains momentum at box office
Rani Mukerji’s much-anticipated action thriller Mardaani 3 has managed to gain momentum at the box office despite facing tough competition from Border 2 . Opening to mixed reviews , the film’s performance on its second day shows a promising uptick .
According to official reports, Mardaani 3 earned ₹6 crore on Saturday, marking a 50% growth over its opening day collection of ₹4 crore . The total India net collection after two days now stands at ₹10 crore , while the gross including GST is approximately ₹11.8 crore .
The film’s screen count has been slightly divided with the ongoing runs of Dhurandhar and Mayasabha , which has somewhat restricted footfalls. Produced by Yash Raj Films on a reported budget of ₹60 crore , the makers have recovered about 16% of their investment within the first 48 hours.
Directed by Abhiraj Minawala , the threequel still needs to maintain a steady momentum through the weekdays to be deemed a success. Analysts suggest that the real test for Mardaani 3 will begin on Monday, as weekday collections are expected to indicate the film’s staying power.
With its gripping storyline and Rani Mukerji’s strong performance , the film is slowly but surely carving a space for itself in the January 2026 box office race , even if the journey remains challenging.
