‘Ranabaali’ Teaser Today: Vijay Deverakonda’s ‘Savage’s Oath’ Promises Intense Action

The much-awaited Telugu period action drama ‘Ranabaali’ is set to unveil its teaser today at 4:05 PM, with the makers promising an intense glimpse of Vijay Deverakonda’s character through the intriguing phrase ‘The Savage’s Oath’.

Directed by Rahul Sankrityan, the film stars Vijay Deverakonda in the titular role and Rashmika Mandanna as Jayamma. The project marks the actors’ reunion on screen and also brings Vijay and Sankrityan together again after their earlier collaboration, ‘Taxiwaala’. Hollywood actor Arnold Vosloo plays a key role in the film.

Set against the backdrop of 19th-century Rayalaseema, ‘Ranabaali’ draws from the region’s history during British rule. The film is expected to blend historical elements with folklore, large-scale action and emotional drama, with Vijay portraying a character caught amid intense conflict.

The film has also involved considerable physical preparation from Vijay, including horse-riding training for the action-heavy role. Portions of the film were shot in the Rayalaseema region, adding authenticity to its period setting.

Produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner, ‘Ranabaali’ features music by Ajay-Atul. The film is being mounted as a large-scale period spectacle with an international cast and ambitious action sequences.

‘Ranabaali’ was initially scheduled to release on September 11, but the theatrical date was subsequently pushed back. The film is now slated for a worldwide theatrical release on October 16, 2026, placing it in the Dussehra festive window.

With the teaser arriving today, expectations are high for the first detailed glimpse of Vijay Deverakonda’s character, Rashmika Mandanna’s role and the film’s historical world. The 4:05 PM teaser release is expected to offer audiences a closer look at the action, scale and tone of ‘Ranabaali’.
