Actor-producer Rana Daggubati has announced a major expansion of his production banner Spirit Media, unveiling an exciting five-film line-up that marks a new chapter for the studio. Among the upcoming ventures is the company’s first Hindi-language project, an adaptation of Aravind Adiga’s acclaimed novel “Last Man in Tower” , with Manoj Bajpayee in the lead role.

The film will be directed by Ben Rekhi, the American filmmaker celebrated for his cross-cultural storytelling. Adapted from Adiga’s 2011 novel, the story explores moral compromises, ambition, and the fragility of human relationships against the backdrop of a rapidly changing urban India.

The announcement comes just ahead of the release of Spirit Media’s debut home production “Kaantha”, starring Dulquer Salmaan and directed by Selvamani Selvaraj, which has already piqued audience interest for its distinctive tone and performances.

A powerhouse in Indian cinema, Rana Daggubati rose to national and international fame with his portrayal of the formidable Bhallaladeva in S.S. Rajamouli’s Baahubali franchise, one of the most successful film series in Indian history. The epic recently returned to theatres in a grand re-release, allowing audiences to relive its larger-than-life storytelling and stunning visual spectacle. Daggubati described the moment as a proud celebration of Indian cinema’s creative legacy.

Beyond acting, Daggubati has built a strong reputation as an entrepreneur and producer, with Spirit Media serving as a platform to develop original, high-quality content across languages and genres.
