Ramchander Rao Accuses Revanth Reddy of Making ‘False Claims’ in Kerala
N. Ramchander Rao , President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana , has alleged that Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy is making false claims in Kerala after failing to implement promises made in Telangana.
Speaking at a media conference held after paying tributes to Babu Jagjivan Ram on his birth anniversary, Ramchander Rao said that Jagjivan Ram’s contributions to nation-building and his fight for social justice remain an inspiration for future generations.
He stated that the BJP is focusing on strengthening its organisational structure across the State , adding that training programmes to enhance ideological awareness among party workers have already been completed in over 600 out of 900 mandals , and will soon be extended to the remaining areas.
Ramchander Rao alleged that the Congress government has failed to implement key promises , including the six guarantees and 420 commitments , such as farm loan waivers . He criticised the Chief Minister for claiming in Kerala that these promises are being fulfilled, calling it an attempt to mislead the public .
He further alleged that public funds of Telangana are being diverted by the Congress leadership to support election campaigns in other States . He also criticised the government over the demolition of houses of the poor and small businesses , stating that such actions are hurting common people. He demanded that the government fulfil its promises to the people of Telangana first , adding that no section of society is satisfied with the current administration.
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi , Ramchander Rao said that despite global tensions involving countries like Iran, Israel, and the United States , India remains secure due to Modi’s leadership .
He urged people not to believe what he termed false propaganda by the Congress regarding shortages of petrol and LPG . He also called on the State government to take strict action against those spreading rumours about gas shortages or lockdowns.
Expressing confidence ahead of upcoming elections, he said the BJP would contest independently in the GHMC and Assembly elections and would form the government in the State . He reiterated that the party would continue its struggle until the Congress fulfils its promises .
