Ramayana 3D Trailer Set for a Big Screen Surprise? CBFC Move Hints at Grand Theatrical Rollout

The buzz surrounding Ramayana refuses to slow down. After its spectacular media and celebrity showcase at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, the film has become the talk of the town, with fans eagerly waiting for the official trailer launch on July 24, 2026 . However, the latest reports suggest audiences may get to witness the epic on the biggest screens even before its digital premiere.

The exclusive preview left celebrities and industry insiders awestruck, with many describing the visuals as unlike anything seen before in Indian cinema. While Ranbir Kapoor's commanding presence as Lord Rama impressed viewers, it was Yash's menacing transformation as Ravana that reportedly stole the show, triggering massive excitement across social media. At the event, Yash described Ramayana as " India's dream project " and praised Ranbir for completely surrendering himself to the role of Lord Rama while calling Sai Pallavi a "flawless actor."

Adding fuel to the excitement, the CBFC has certified a dedicated 4 minute theatrical cut titled "Theatrical Trailer – Ramayana 3D." Reports also reveal that the board has cleared two trailer versions with a U certificate , strengthening speculation that the makers are preparing a special theatrical launch before the online release.
