Ram Temple Trust to Extend Sugam Darshan Pass Booking Window to 90 Days
The Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has increased the number of online Sugam Darshan passes available to devotees and plans to extend the advance booking window from 15 days to 90 days to make darshan of Shri Ram Lalla more accessible.
The decision was approved by Trust General Secretary Pujya Swami Govinddev Giri Ji Maharaj following discussions with Chief Executive Officer Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra (Retd.), the IT department and other Trust representatives.
Under the revised arrangement, the daily quota of online passes has been raised from 975 to 2,000. The Trust said the number could be increased further depending on demand.
The proposed booking system will release advance passes in seven stages, at 90, 62, 30, 14, seven, three and one day before the scheduled darshan date. An eighth category will provide same-day Tatkal passes for devotees seeking last-minute access.
To ensure fair access and prevent misuse, the Trust is developing a verification-based booking system aimed at curbing automated bookings and other irregularities. Applications for advance passes will generally be processed within 24 to 48 hours after technical verification, while same-day Tatkal passes will receive instant confirmation.
The Trust has emphasised that Sugam Darshan passes are completely free and warned devotees against paying individuals or intermediaries who claim they can arrange passes. It also plans to introduce a dedicated telephone helpline and an email reporting facility to receive complaints from devotees about people demanding money.
Devotees have been advised to obtain passes only through the Trust’s authorised website, online.srjbtkshetra.org, and avoid unauthorised channels.
The Trust said additional security measures would be incorporated into the booking platform to prevent unauthorised access, technical manipulation and other forms of misuse.
While the increased daily availability of online passes has already taken effect, the extended booking window, phased release schedule and verification-based confirmation process will be introduced progressively after the necessary software modifications and testing are completed.
The measures are intended to improve convenience, transparency and fairness, allowing devotees to obtain passes directly without recommendations or intermediaries.
