Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’ eyes June 4 release after multiple delays
The makers of Peddi are now strongly eyeing a June 4, 2026 theatrical release , with industry sources indicating that most stakeholders have aligned on the date. However, an official announcement is still awaited as the team finalises last-minute formalities.
The film, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor , was initially planned for a March 2026 release around the actor’s birthday. It was later moved to April 30 before being postponed again to ensure smoother post-production and a better release window. Reports suggest the delay was strategic, allowing the team to complete visual effects, editing and other technical work without pressure.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana , Peddi is a rural sports action drama with Ram Charan reportedly playing a rugged, physically intense role with wrestling-inspired elements. The film also features Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu and Boman Irani in key roles, adding to its ensemble appeal.
Mounted on a large scale with an estimated budget of around ₹300 crore , the project is backed by multiple production banners and is being positioned as a pan-India entertainer. Music is composed by A. R. Rahman , whose soundtrack has already begun generating buzz among fans.
Most of the shooting is complete, with only a song sequence reportedly pending. Once the release date is formally locked, the makers are expected to launch full-fledged promotions, including teasers, songs and event-based marketing.
The film’s digital rights are with Netflix , which has reportedly approved the revised release timeline. With post-production nearing completion and industry alignment in place, Peddi is now gearing up for its biggest push yet ahead of its June 4 release.
