Ram Charan teams up with Kriti Sanon for Sukumar’s next after Peddi

Global star Ram Charan is currently busy shooting for director Buchi Babu Sana’s much-awaited film Peddi . The movie, featuring music by A.R. Rahman and cinematography by Rathnavelu, has already completed 50% of its shoot. A massive stadium set is being constructed at Film City for a key schedule, where Ram Charan will be seen in a fresh and striking new look. Cinematographer Rathnavelu even hinted in an interview that the actor’s performance could bring him a shower of awards. The film, co-starring Janhvi Kapoor, is slated for release on March 27, 2026, coinciding with Ram Charan’s birthday.

Meanwhile, another big update has fans buzzing Ram Charan will be pairing up with Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon in his next project, tentatively titled RC17 . Kriti, who made her Telugu debut with Adipurush , is set to share screen space with Charan in this Sukumar directorial. Sources reveal that Sukumar has been working on extensive pre-production for the film and plans to launch it immediately after Peddi wraps up.

The makers have roped in acclaimed Kannada music director Ajaneesh B. Loknath, who won a National Award for his work in Kantara and Mangalavaaram . This marks the first time Sukumar will not be collaborating with his longtime music partner Devi Sri Prasad, signaling a bold new experiment in sound for the filmmaker.
