SS Rajamouli, the filmmaker behind the global blockbusters Baahubali and RRR , has once again created a storm in the film world. His team released a thrilling 26-second clip from the upcoming film Ramayanam , offering audiences a powerful glimpse of the movie’s scale and intensity. Although the teaser is not new and had been released earlier, it gained renewed attention for its dramatic visuals. The footage, shot in Varanasi , showcases a massive action sequence with high-speed slow-motion details such as swirling embers and rippling muscles, making the short teaser instantly viral. The main highlight is that the team has now confirmed a 2027 release for the film.

The film stars Mahesh Babu as Rudhra , a devoted follower of Lord Shiva who embarks on a time-bending journey. Alongside him, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran play crucial roles, adding star value and depth to the project. The anticipation around the film is already immense, given Rajamouli’s reputation for creating cinematic spectacles that blend emotion with grandeur.

The music for Ramayanam is composed by MM Keeravani , whose collaborations with Rajamouli have produced some of the most memorable film scores in Indian cinema. The film is being shot using IMAX cameras, promising a larger-than-life visual experience that aims to match the epic scale of the director’s previous hits. Shooting is currently underway in Hyderabad, with hundreds of junior artists participating, further emphasizing the massive scale of the production.

Rajamouli has confirmed that Ramayanam will release in 2027 , and there is strong speculation that it may hit theatres around Ram Navami , aligning the film’s spiritual theme with the festival. With the new footage creating a huge buzz, it is clear that Rajamouli is once again preparing a cinematic event that could redefine Indian filmmaking and set new standards for epic storytelling.
