Hyderabad was buzzing with festive fervour on December 27, 2025 , as the much‑talked‑about pre‑release event for The Raja Saab took place at the Khaitalapur Grounds in Kukatpally ahead of the film’s January 9, 2026 Sankranti premiere. The event had been teasing fans across social media and news platforms, promising a star‑studded evening for die‑hard followers of the pan‑India star Prabhas .

In the leadup to the gathering, the production house confirmed that Prabhas was expected to attend the event , stirring years of excitement among supporters who have been waiting to see him celebrate with the cast and crew. Traffic advisories from Hyderabad Traffic Police warned commuters of heavy congestion around the venue from 5 PM onwards , highlighting the enormous interest surrounding the occasion.

To prioritise public safety and learn from earlier promotional chaos, including a widely shared incident where actress Nidhhi Agerwal was mobbed at a song launch in Hyderabad due to poor crowd control, the makers took extra precautions for this event. Organisers limited attendance to around 8,000 people with strict security protocols in place, and many fans were informed that they could not enter the venue physically but instead were encouraged to watch the celebration through live digital coverage .

Despite the restricted access, the atmosphere outside the grounds was electric with enthusiastic supporters gathering early, waving banners and chanting for their star with festive zeal. The event marked yet another chapter in the sprawling promotional campaign for the film, which also includes paid premieres scheduled for January 8 , a day before the general release giving eager audiences an early glimpse of Prabhas’ performance.

Director Maruthi added to the buzz by discussing Prabhas’ role in the horror‑comedy, emphasising a look and performance that he described as unlike anything seen before on Indian screens, a blend of style, comedy and supernatural elements designed to leave a lasting impression.

The celebrations of The Raja Saab are part of a larger build‑up that includes previous promotional events, such as the launch of the first single Rebel Saab and other teasers that have kept fans engaged and speculating about what Prabhas’ “rebel” persona will bring to the screen when the film finally premieres.

As night fell and the controlled festivities drew to a close, the energy of fans, whether gathered at the venue or following online, made it clear that The Raja Saab has already become one of the most anticipated cinematic events of the season, with all eyes now fixed on the cinematic release and the premiere shows in early January.
