Pushpa 2: The Rule is set to take its next big leap overseas, with the film officially heading to theatres across Japan in January 2026. The sequel, directed by Sukumar, continues the gritty saga that began with the 2021 blockbuster Pushpa: The Rise and has maintained strong momentum since its India release in December 2024.

Allu Arjun returns as the feared and flamboyant smuggler Pushpa Raj, a role that has now earned massive global fandom. The film features Rashmika Mandanna reprising her part as Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil as the menacing Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat, with the story expanding into international terrains, including crucial sequences set in Japan.

After dominating Indian cinemas and breaking several box office records, Pushpa 2 is now gearing up to connect with a new audience. Its music, particularly the chart-topping track “Pushpa Pushpa,” generated major pop-culture waves and helped fuel the film’s mass appeal.

For its Japan release, the film will be screened with subtitles through Geek Pictures India, opening a fresh market for one of Indian cinema’s most successful franchises. With rising interest in Indian films across East Asia, the makers see this as a natural next step in Pushpa’s global journey.

The arrival of Pushpa 2 in Japan marks not just a wider release, but a milestone moment, showing how far the world of Pushpa Raj has travelled beyond Indian borders.
