Pune City Police calls for 1,968 fill it before today

The Pune City Police recruitment notification for 2025 has been issued for 1,968 vacancies, covering the posts of Police Constable, Police Constable Driver, and Jail Constable. The online application process was opened on October 29, 2025, and applications were accepted until November 30, 2025, through the official website punepolice.gov.in .

The notification has been released to provide complete details regarding eligibility criteria, age limits, fees, selection procedures and application steps for the candidates. All information has been verified in line with the standard recruitment rules followed by Maharashtra Police.

According to the notification, 1,733 posts have been allocated for Police Constables, while 105 vacancies have been assigned for Police Constable Drivers. Additionally, 103 positions have been announced for Jail Constables. Candidates who have passed the Class 12/Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination from the Maharashtra State Board or any equivalent examination recognised by the Government—such as the CBSE Class 12 or NIOS Senior Secondary examination—are eligible to apply.

The age criteria have been outlined clearly. For the Police Constable post, the general category age limit has been fixed at 18 to 28 years, while reserved category candidates are permitted to apply until 33 years. For the Police Constable Driver post, the general category age limit has been set at 19 to 28 years, and 19 to 33 years for reserved categories. As per government rules, SC/ST candidates receive an age relaxation of five years, while OBC candidates receive a relaxation of three years.

The application fee has been prescribed at ₹450 for open category applicants and ₹350 for reserved category candidates. The fee is required to be paid online at the time of submitting the application form.

The recruitment process is set to be carried out through multiple stages, with the physical test, written examination, character verification, and medical examination forming the core components of the selection procedure. Only candidates who qualify each stage will be considered for final selection.

To apply, candidates are required to visit the official portal and complete the registration using a valid email ID and mobile number. The online form must be filled with accurate personal and educational details, followed by the upload of the required documents, including photograph, signature, and certificates. After the payment of the application fee, the form must be submitted, and a printout of the confirmation page is advised for future reference.

The recruitment details closely follow the recognised standards of Maharashtra Police recruitment. Although the application link has been provided through the Pune City Police website, state police recruitments are traditionally coordinated through a central portal; however, district-level hosting is not unusual.

The Pune City Police has stated that all eligible candidates are encouraged to apply within the specified dates and ensure that their documents and details meet the required criteria.
