Pulivarthi Nani Inspects School, Reviews Midday Meal Scheme in Chandragiri

Chandragiri MLA Pulivarthi Nani said the coalition government is giving top priority to shaping students in government schools into future citizens of India .

On Monday, he made a surprise inspection of the Mandal Parishad Primary School in Panapakam village of Chandragiri mandal. During the visit, he personally reviewed the implementation of the ‘Dokka Seethamma Midday Meal Scheme’ in the school.

He stated that the government’s primary objective is to provide quality education along with nutritious food to students. Interacting with students, the MLA enquired whether meals were being served as per the daily menu and expressed satisfaction over the quality of food.

He later shared the midday meal with the students, and his gesture of personally cleaning his plate drew appreciation from those present.

The MLA also reviewed the functioning of the school kitchen and the teaching methods of staff , advising them to strive for improved academic standards.

Subsequently, he visited a nearby Anganwadi centre and inspected the attendance register. While expressing satisfaction over its functioning, he directed officials to ensure there are no lapses in the distribution of nutritious food to children and pregnant women.

He emphasised that government welfare schemes must be effectively implemented at the grassroots level and warned officials against negligence in their duties.

Local coalition leaders and officials from the education department participated in the programme.
