PSG Commit to Luis Enrique Until 2030, Secure Four Young Stars Through 2031

Paris Saint-Germain have extended Luis Enrique’s contract until 2030, securing the future of the coach who has transformed the club into back-to-back European champions. The French giants also announced new deals for João Neves, Lucas Beraldo, Senny Mayulu and Willian Pacho until 2031, while midfielder Fabián Ruiz has extended his contract until 2028, with an option for another year.

The 56-year-old Spaniard joined PSG in 2023 after managing Barcelona and Spain, and his tenure has delivered three Ligue 1 titles and consecutive Champions League triumphs. His first European crown with PSG came in 2025, when they defeated Inter Milan 5-0 in the final. They successfully defended the title in 2026, beating Arsenal 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in Budapest. The achievement marked PSG’s emergence as a European powerhouse after years of falling short in the competition.

Enrique previously won the Champions League with Barcelona in 2015, during a three-season spell in which he collected nine trophies. His PSG project has increasingly focused on collective football, tactical discipline and developing younger players rather than relying solely on high-profile stars.

The latest extensions underline that strategy. João Neves, signed from Benfica, has reached 100 PSG appearances, while defenders Pacho and Beraldo, recruited from Eintracht Frankfurt and São Paulo respectively, have become important parts of the squad. Pacho has already made more than 100 appearances.

Academy graduate Senny Mayulu, who joined PSG at 12, has made 75 senior appearances and scored 12 goals, including in the 2025 Champions League final. Meanwhile, Ruiz, 30, has recorded 171 appearances, 16 goals and 28 assists since arriving in 2022.

The announcements came before PSG’s Ligue 1 clash with Monaco, where the champions lost 2-1 despite Marquinhos’ opener, remaining winless after three matches. Monaco responded through Flávio Nazinho and Stanis Idumbo.

Despite the difficult domestic start, PSG’s long-term commitment is clear: Enrique until 2030 and key young players until 2031 reflect a strategy built around continuity, youth and collective strength.
