Priyanka Mohan to star in Netflix’s Tamil original ‘Made in Korea’

Netflix has announced its upcoming Tamil original film, Made in Korea , starring Priyanka Mohan in the lead role. Directed by Ra Karthik, the film is set in Seoul and explores themes of love, betrayal, and cultural discovery. The first-look poster showcases Priyanka Mohan walking through the vibrant streets of Seoul, capturing the essence of the film's cross-cultural narrative.

In Made in Korea , Priyanka portrays Shenba, a young woman whose romantic trip to Korea takes an unexpected turn when her boyfriend leaves her stranded in Seoul. As she navigates loneliness, language barriers, and cultural differences, Shenba learns to adapt, finding strength, joy, and friendships in a foreign land.

Director Ra Karthik shared that his initial unfamiliarity with Korean culture led him to explore the deep cultural connections and historical similarities between Korean and Tamil heritage, inspiring the film's narrative.
