Prithviraj’s Santhosh Trophy wins hearts with first look

The makers of Santhosh Trophy have unveiled a first-look poster, officially confirming the film’s title and principal cast while generating strong buzz among fans of Malayalam cinema. Directed by Vipin Das , the project marks his second collaboration with Prithviraj Sukumaran after the success of their 2024 hit Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil .

In the upcoming film, Sukumaran plays Santhosh, a man determined to win a trophy before his next birthday. Described as a character-driven narrative, Santhosh Trophy will feature nearly 60 newcomers selected through auditions held across Kerala, signaling a strong focus on fresh talent and rooted storytelling.

The film is being jointly produced by Magic Frames and Prithviraj Productions. According to the production team, filming is expected to begin shortly after a traditional pooja ceremony scheduled for September 2025. While an official release date has not been announced, the makers are aiming for a theatrical release in the summer of 2026.
