Prime Minister Modi To Visit Hyderabad Today
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Hyderabad today. During the visit, he will lay foundation stones and dedicate to the nation several development projects worth around Rs. 9,400 crore in the state. Significantly, this will be Modi’s first major public meeting after assuming office again as Prime Minister in 2024 and following the BJP’s historic victory in the recent Assembly elections in West Bengal and Assam .
According to the preliminary schedule, the Prime Minister will arrive in Hyderabad from Bengaluru and participate in a programme at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre in Gachibowli. From there, he will virtually launch several development initiatives. These include foundation stone laying for the expansion of the Hyderabad-Panaji Economic Corridor into a four-lane highway and the development of the Zaheerabad Industrial Area . He will also inaugurate various completed sections under the Kazipet-Vijayawada Multi-Tracking Railway Project . In addition, Modi will dedicate a Greenfield POL (Petroleum, Oil and Lubricants) Terminal in Hyderabad and lay the foundation stone for the PM MITRA Park in Warangal.
Following the development programmes, the Prime Minister will address a massive public meeting at the Secunderabad Parade Grounds in the evening. The state BJP expects nearly two lakh people to attend the gathering. Party cadres, who have already launched a statewide wall-writing campaign, expressed confidence that Modi’s visit would provide fresh momentum to the BJP in Telangana.
Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar , along with Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao , are supervising the arrangements. Bandi Sanjay stated that Telangana would witness faster growth only with a “ double-engine government ” in the state. Political analysts believe Prime Minister Modi’s visit could become a milestone for the BJP, which aims to come to power on its own in Telangana.
