President Trump commemorates U.S. Navy’s 250th anniversary amidst government shutdown

The United States Navy marked a historic milestone this week, celebrating its 250th anniversary with the grand event America’s Navy 250: Titans of the Sea. President Donald Trump joined thousands of sailors, veterans, and dignitaries at Naval Station Norfolk to honor the Navy’s enduring legacy, even amidst an ongoing government shutdown.

The celebration featured impressive military demonstrations, including jet flyovers and live-fire drills, underscoring the Navy’s capabilities and global reach.
