President Droupadi Murmu to visit Odisha today, multiple projects to be inaugurated in Rourkela

Droupadi Murmu is set to visit Odisha today (April 21, 2026) for a day-long programme focused on infrastructure, education, and cultural development in Rourkela.

During her visit, the President will inaugurate a Planetarium and Science Centre aimed at promoting scientific awareness and learning among students and the general public. She will also launch the Nirmal Munda Parivesh Path, a project expected to enhance environmental and recreational spaces in the region.

In addition, the President will dedicate a Tribal Museum that showcases the rich heritage and traditions of indigenous communities. An Integrated Command and Control Centre will also be inaugurated, strengthening urban management and public service delivery through technology.

The visit underscores the Centre’s focus on regional development and cultural preservation, with Rourkela emerging as a key hub for educational and civic infrastructure initiatives in the state.
