Preparations underway to credit ‘Annadata Sukhibhava’ and PM-Kisan funds to farmers
The state government is all set to deposit the second installment of the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme into farmers’ accounts on November 19, coinciding with the central government’s release of PM-Kisan funds.
On Monday, Minister for Agriculture Kinjirapu Atchannaidu held a key teleconference from the Nimmada Camp office in Tekkali constituency with the Principal Secretary, Director of Agriculture, and officials from all 26 districts. He confirmed that the state share of the scheme would be combined with the central government’s contribution, providing a total of ₹7,000 per eligible farmer.
The minister emphasized that it is the officials’ responsibility to ensure every eligible farmer benefits from the scheme, describing support to farmers as a duty rather than a burden.
The scheme will be formally launched on November 19 in Kamalapuram constituency of YSR district by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, and the minister instructed agriculture department officials to complete all arrangements ahead of the event.
Officials were directed to monitor inactive accounts in the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) at the field level and activate them promptly. In case a beneficiary farmer has passed away, necessary death mutations should be carried out to ensure the scheme benefits reach their heirs. The minister also asked for a simplified online registration process for newly eligible farmers.
According to officials, the second installment of the Annadata Sukhibhava-PM Kisan scheme will benefit 46.62 lakh farmers, with the central and state governments together depositing ₹3,077.77 crore into their accounts.
To resolve any doubts, the minister instructed that a toll-free helpline be made available immediately. Farmers are to be notified on their mobile phones a day in advance so they can activate their accounts in time. Additionally, officials are tasked with reviewing complaints from farmers who did not receive funds in the first installment and ensuring that all eligible farmers not yet registered on the Webland portal are included. To achieve this, field-level staff will conduct special awareness campaigns in villages.
