
Prasar Bharati Recruitment 2025
Applications have been invited by Prasar Bharati for the recruitment of 29 Copy Editor posts at its Doordarshan (DD) and All India Radio (AIR) stations. The vacancies have been distributed as 21 positions for Doordarshan and 8 positions for AIR, across multiple locations including Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Imphal, Itanagar, Jammu, Kohima, Kolkata, Leh, Mumbai, Panaji, Ranchi, and Thiruvananthapuram.
Candidates are required to hold a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university or a postgraduate diploma in Journalism or Mass Communication, along with three years of experience in mainstream media. Proficiency in Hindi, English, and regional languages, familiarity with search engines and social media, and knowledge of current affairs and regional and national issues have been considered desirable.
The selected candidates will be offered a fixed monthly remuneration of ₹35,000, and the engagement will be on a purely contractual basis for an initial period of one year, extendable based on performance. No pension or regularization benefits will be provided, and termination may be effected with a one-month notice or one-month salary in lieu.
The duties to be performed by the Copy Editors include coordinating editorial work from regional centers, overseeing and prioritizing news feeds, tagging and adding metadata to video, photo, and graphics content, converting video or audio into text with quality checks, translating content if required, and feeding information timely into the shared platform.
