Pranay Verma Bids Farewell to Bangladesh FM, Reviews India-Bangladesh Ties

Outgoing Indian High Commissioner Pranay Verma paid a farewell courtesy call on Bangladesh Foreign Minister Kahlilur Rahman at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka on Monday, where both sides reviewed the current state of bilateral relations and expressed optimism about their future trajectory.

During the meeting, both leaders reviewed ongoing bilateral developments and noted that the partnership is expected to grow further, driven by evolving aspirations and new capabilities of the two countries, according to official statements from the Indian mission and Bangladeshi state media.

Verma reaffirmed India’s commitment to deepening people-centric cooperation across all sectors , in line with the development priorities of both nations. He stressed that future engagement would continue to be guided by mutual interest and mutual benefit , with a strong focus on expanding practical cooperation and connectivity.

Additional details from official briefings highlighted that both sides underscored the importance of maintaining positive, constructive and forward-looking engagement , particularly as efforts continue to stabilise and further strengthen bilateral ties after recent fluctuations in relations.
