Prakash Raj dismisses exit rumours from Prabhas’ Spirit
Actor Prakash Raj has firmly denied rumours suggesting that he was dropped from director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming action thriller Spirit , starring Prabhas in the lead.
Speculation erupted on social media over the weekend, with several posts claiming that Prakash Raj had clashed with Vanga over creative differences, allegedly leading to his removal from the project. However, responding to the buzz, the actor told Hindustan Times that he is unaware of any such developments and continues to be associated with the film.
“I don’t know where these stories are coming from,” Prakash Raj was quoted as saying, dismissing the reports as baseless.
Spirit is a high-profile pan-India cop drama headlined by Prabhas, who plays a fierce law-enforcement officer. The film also stars Triptii Dimri as the female lead. The project had earlier made headlines after Deepika Padukone exited the film last year due to scheduling issues.
Currently, Spirit is being shot in Hyderabad under tight security. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, best known for Arjun Reddy and Animal , the film is one of the most anticipated releases in Prabhas’ lineup and is slated to hit theatres in March 2027.
The makers have not issued any official statement regarding the rumours surrounding Prakash Raj’s role so far.
