Former minister Harish Rao sharply criticised the Telangana Congress government over its announced “Praja Palana – Pragati Pranalika” 99-day action plan , stating that the programme was not meant for development but merely a publicity exercise. He mocked the initiative through a post on his X (Twitter) account.

He said the government was unable to explain what development had been achieved even after nearly 800 days in power , and had therefore introduced another “new drama” in the name of a 99-day plan . It was surprising that the government had remembered development plans only after two-and-a-half years of governance , he remarked.

Harish Rao alleged that the six guarantees announced by the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had failed in implementation. He said lakhs of applications submitted by people during the earlier Praja Palana gram sabhas were still pending without resolution. Conducting new programmes for ten weeks without addressing those issues amounted to deceiving the public, he added.

He further alleged that the promised Rythu Bharosa for farmers had not yet been provided and that the crop bonus for the previous season had also not been paid. The government had also failed to ensure urea supply , he claimed. Harish Rao said the government had promised two lakh government jobs within two years but had neither fulfilled the commitment nor announced a job calendar . Applications received under programmes such as Rajiv Yuva Vikasam also remained unresolved, he said.

He criticised the government for not performing as expected in sectors such as health, education, and rural development . He alleged that the government was trying to mislead people through publicity in the name of Praja Palana , adding that the public was closely observing these developments.
