Prabhas’s The Raja Saab Telugu version breakeven over ₹200 Cr
The buzz around Prabhas’s upcoming Telugu film The Raja Saab has reached unprecedented levels following the release of its teaser and trailer. Scheduled for release on January 9, 2026, the film’s Telugu version is reported to have a breakeven value exceeding ₹200 crore.
Currently, the film’s team is shooting song sequences at international locations, with the first single planned for release on Prabhas’s birthday. The business arrangements for the film are in the final stages, with several key territories already secured. The Andhra region, comprising six territories, has reportedly been priced between ₹75–80 crore, while Ceeded rights are valued at over ₹25 crore and Nizam rights at over ₹60 crore. Collectively, the Telugu states’ business is estimated at ₹160–165 crore.
In addition, the film’s overseas rights have been sold at a substantial price, bringing the potential worldwide business of the Telugu version close to ₹225 crore. While a few negotiations are still ongoing, industry sources confirm that the total business is expected to surpass ₹200 crore.
Prabhas’s recent projects have consistently achieved significant commercial success, extending beyond the Telugu market to multiple languages. Despite strong competition and several high-profile films, many have not crossed the ₹200 crore business mark in Telugu. However, Prabhas, in collaboration with director Maruthi, is reportedly achieving this milestone, aided by the effective marketing strategies, including impactful teaser and trailer releases.
The high pre-release business reflects both the growing anticipation for The Raja Saab and the sustained stardom of Prabhas, positioning the film as one of the major Telugu releases of 2026.
