Prabhas To Resume 'Fauzi' Shooting On November 3, Film Enters Final Phase Ahead Of 2027 Release
'Fauzi', one of Prabhas' most anticipated upcoming films, is gearing up for another important shooting schedule. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the big-budget period action drama is back in the spotlight as the actor prepares to return to its sets on November 3, 2026.
Prabhas recently joined the sets of 'Kalki 2' and is now set to resume work on 'Fauzi'. According to reports, the film has entered its final phase of production, with crucial portions still to be completed. Reports also suggest that the upcoming schedule will focus on large-scale action sequences, including the film's climax war episode, which is expected to require an extended shooting schedule.
The excitement surrounding the project increased after the makers unveiled its first glimpse on October 23, coinciding with Prabhas' 47th birthday. The 2-minute-and-31-second teaser introduced the actor in a fierce avatar as a rebel soldier fighting against British rule during the pre-Independence era. His character is described as India's most wanted rebel soldier, wanted since 1932. The glimpse features intense action, patriotism and a powerful confrontation with the British.
However, the teaser also landed the film in controversy. Chandra Kumar Bose, grandnephew of freedom fighter Subhas Chandra Bose, objected to the dramatised portrayal of Netaji and Adolf Hitler in the promotional video. He demanded that the makers withdraw the teaser, issue an apology and ensure that historical facts are not misrepresented.
Produced by Mythri Movie Makers and presented by T-Series Films, 'Fauzi' features Imanvi as the female lead. Veteran actors Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty and Jayaprada, along with Sajjad Delafrooz, are also part of the cast. The film marks Hanu Raghavapudi's return after the success of 'Sita Ramam'.
The makers have scheduled the film for a March 19, 2027 theatrical release. With Prabhas' intense transformation and the film's historical backdrop generating considerable curiosity, fans are eagerly waiting for its next promotional update.
