Spirit , the highly anticipated collaboration between Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga, continues to dominate industry discussions after reports confirmed that the film’s digital streaming rights have been sold for an enormous ₹160 crore. This massive figure, achieved even before substantial shooting progress, highlights the extraordinary confidence that the trade sector and streaming companies have in this combination. While a few sources estimate the deal at around ₹150 crore for all languages, most place it at the ₹160 crore mark, making it one of the highest OTT pre-release valuations in Indian cinema. Interestingly, the name of the OTT platform that bought the rights has not been disclosed by the makers or the trade. Reports only mention that a “leading OTT platform” has acquired the film, and the buyer’s identity remains undisclosed as of today, adding an element of mystery to the already record-breaking deal.

Announced in October 2021, Spirit is being produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures as a massive pan-world project slated for release in multiple Indian and international languages. Prabhas plays an intense and gritty police officer, a role designed around heavy action, psychological depth, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s signature emotional intensity. Triptii Dimri is confirmed as the female lead, marking her first collaboration with Prabhas, and actors such as Vivek Oberoi and Prakash Raj are said to be part of the cast. Rumours of Chiranjeevi appearing in the film were officially dismissed by Vanga himself, settling one of the biggest speculations surrounding the project.

The film officially went on floors at the end of November 2025 after months of meticulous pre-production. Raj Thota is handling cinematography while Harshavardhan Rameshwar is composing the music. Some portions are expected to be shot overseas, with locations like Thailand being explored to enhance the film’s global tonality. Vanga has requested Prabhas to dedicate uninterrupted time to the project, signalling the scale and intensity of the schedules planned. Meanwhile, unverified plot leak rumours continue to circulate online, but none have been confirmed, and the makers are maintaining complete secrecy about the storyline. Trade chatter suggests there may be surprise appearances or unexpected character arcs, though nothing has been publicly validated.
