For Prabhas, who emerged as one of India’s biggest pan-Indian superstars with the phenomenal success of the ‘Baahubali’ franchise, his upcoming birthday arrives at a crucial juncture in his career. After a series of setbacks following the epic saga, the actor found renewed momentum with ‘Salaar’ and ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, only to face another disappointment with ‘The Raja Saab’ during the Sankranti season. Now, the focus is firmly on his next wave of ambitious projects, which could help him reclaim his box-office dominance.

The actor has three major films lined up, each offering a distinct storyline and a fresh opportunity to connect with audiences across the country. Together, they represent an important phase in his career, with expectations running high among fans and the trade.

Leading the lineup is ‘Fauzi’, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi and scheduled for release in March 2027. Prabhas will reportedly portray a soldier in a story combining action and romance. Known for his treatment of period dramas and emotional love stories, Hanu is expected to bring a different dimension to the actor’s screen persona. The film will be closely watched as a potential turning point for Prabhas.

Next is ‘Spirit’, directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga and slated for an October 2027 release. The film marks Prabhas’ first reported outing as a police officer, adding another new character to his repertoire. Although details about the project remain limited, the combination of Vanga’s intense filmmaking style and Prabhas’ action-hero image has generated considerable anticipation.

The third major project is the sequel to ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, which is already in production. Director Nag Ashwin faces the challenge of building on the first instalment’s success while expanding its futuristic mythology. The sequel is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2028.

Prabhas is also expected to turn his attention to the second instalment of ‘Salaar’, adding another high-profile project to his slate.

With these films spanning action, romance and futuristic spectacle, the coming years could prove decisive for the superstar. For Prabhas, the challenge is no longer simply to deliver big films, but to translate enormous expectations into consistent box-office success.
