Prabhas’ The Raja Saab hits theatres today, January 9, 2026, ahead of Sankranti, amid massive fan excitement. The fantasy horror-comedy, directed by Maruthi Dasari and starring Malavika Mohanan , Nidhhi Agerwal , Riddhi Kumar , Sanjay Dutt , and Boman Irani , has already seen strong advance bookings across India and overseas.
In a recent 'King Size Interview,' Prabhas revealed that 70% of the film is comedy, marking his first full-on attempt at a humorous entertainer for Indian audiences. He also teased a quirky ghost grandfather who drives the story at the interval, and shared details of the 140-day shoot, including 20 minutes of intense climax action, creating even more anticipation for the Sankranti release.
