Prabhas’ ‘Chatrapathi’ Roars Back In 4K On His Birthday

Prabhas’ ‘Chatrapathi’ is returning to theatres in a 4K version on October 23, 2026, giving fans a chance to celebrate the actor’s birthday with one of his most iconic mass entertainers. The re-release has been announced by Kailash Films, with the film set to roar back onto the big screen as part of the birthday celebrations.

Released in 2005, ‘Chatrapathi’ marked the first collaboration between Prabhas and S.S. Rajamouli. The action drama was produced by B. V. S. N. Prasad under Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra, with M. M. Keeravani composing the music. V. Vijayendra Prasad provided the story, while K. K. Senthil Kumar handled cinematography.

The film stars Prabhas and Shriya Saran in the lead, with Bhanupriya, Pradeep Rawat, Kota Srinivasa Rao and Shafi among the prominent supporting actors. Prabhas plays Sivaji, a Sri Lankan refugee who is separated from his family and eventually rises as a powerful figure who stands up for oppressed people in Visakhapatnam.
