Ponnam Prabhakar Inspects Health Camps, Speeds Up Integrated School Construction

The Telangana government is giving strong priority to healthcare and education in the Husnabad Assembly constituency, with several initiatives being implemented on the ground. As part of these efforts, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Friday inaugurated a mega health camp at the Government Junior College in Koheda mandal , organised under the supervision of RVM Hospital in line with state government instructions.

Interacting with people attending the camp, the minister enquired about their health concerns and assured them that all necessary medical tests would be conducted free of cost. He said that patients requiring advanced treatment would be provided better medical care in Hyderabad , with the government bearing the expenses. The minister also instructed doctors to ensure that medicines were supplied immediately after health check-ups. For patients suffering from eye-related problems , he assured that spectacles would be arranged without delay.

Later, Minister Ponnam met students of the Government Junior College and listened to their concerns and needs. He told them that the government was committed to providing adequate infrastructure and facilities for students and urged them to make the best use of these opportunities. Emphasising the importance of education, he said that education is the foundation for a better future and plays a key role in bringing positive change in society.

Integrated Residential School Works Reviewed:

As part of his tour, the minister also inspected the construction works of the Young India Integrated Residential School being built on 30 acres at the outskirts of Thangalapalli village in Koheda mandal. The school, being constructed at an estimated cost of ₹200 crore, is expected to emerge as a model educational institution in the state.

Minister Ponnam directed officials to speed up construction by carrying out works in multiple shifts. He instructed that classroom buildings and hostels should be completed simultaneously, along with the construction of internal roads and a compound wall. He also asked the district collector to monitor the progress on a daily basis to ensure timely completion.

Free Medical Camp at Akkanapet PHC:

The minister later inaugurated another free mega medical camp at the Primary Health Centre in Akkanapet mandal , organised under the guidance of the Health Department, Siddipet Government Medical College and Government Hospital. He reiterated that all treatments and medical services provided at the camp would be completely free, with the government covering the costs. Doctors were instructed to ensure immediate supply of medicines and spectacles to patients in need.

Kalyana Lakshmi Cheques Distributed:

Calling upon people to make full use of the health camps, the minister urged residents to undergo regular medical check-ups and take preventive health measures . At the end of the programme, cheques under the Kalyana Lakshmi scheme were distributed to 41 beneficiaries .

Minister Ponnam said these initiatives clearly reflected the government’s commitment to strengthening healthcare, education and welfare services in the Husnabad constituency.
