PM Vishwakarma Haat 2026 to showcase traditional crafts at Dilli Haat from Jan 18

The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) will organise PM Vishwakarma Haat 2026 at Dilli Haat, INA, New Delhi , from January 18 to January 31 , providing a national platform to traditional artisans and craftspeople under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme . The 14-day exhibition will be open to the public daily from 10.30 am to 10.00 pm .

The exhibition will be inaugurated by Union MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi , in the presence of Minister of State for MSME Shobha Karandlaje . More than 117 artisans from all States and Union Territories will participate, making it a pan-India representation of India’s diverse traditional skills and crafts. Representatives from foreign missions have also been invited to the event.

PM Vishwakarma Haat 2026 aims to celebrate India’s rich heritage of traditional craftsmanship while providing artisans with direct market access, visibility and opportunities to engage with national and international buyers. The event will feature a wide range of handicrafts, live craft demonstrations and cultural experiences, reflecting the theme “Vishwakarma Ka Abhiyaan, Viksit Bharat Ka Nirman.”

The Haat is being organised under the PM Vishwakarma Scheme, a central government initiative launched in September 2023 to support traditional artisans who work with their hands and tools. The scheme covers 18 traditional trades, including carpenters, blacksmiths, potters, tailors and cobblers, and seeks to integrate them into the formal economy.

Under the scheme, artisans are provided formal recognition through certificates and ID cards, skill upgradation training, modern toolkits, and access to collateral-free loans at concessional rates. Marketing and branding support, including participation in exhibitions such as PM Vishwakarma Haat, forms a key component of the programme.

While no separate budget has been announced specifically for the Haat, the event is funded under the broader PM Vishwakarma Scheme , which has a total financial outlay of ₹13,000 crore spread over the period 2023–24 to 2027–28 . The exhibition is seen as a practical extension of the scheme’s objectives, helping artisans improve skills, understand market trends, increase productivity and generate sustainable livelihoods.

PM Vishwakarma Haat 2026 reinforces the government’s commitment to empowering traditional artisans, preserving indigenous skills and strengthening the MSME ecosystem , while bringing India’s craft heritage closer to the public and global markets.
