PM to visit Gujarat for Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations and inaugurate projects worth ₹1,140 Cr

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on 30–31 October 2025 to participate in the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. During the two-day visit, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of infrastructure and development projects worth over ₹1,140 crore in Ekta Nagar, Kevadia.

15 PM, flag off electric buses in the region. Later, at 6:30 PM, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for several projects aimed at enhancing tourism, improving accessibility, and supporting sustainability initiatives in the area surrounding the Statue of Unity.

The projects to be inaugurated include the Birsa Munda Tribal University in Rajpipla, Hospitality District (Phase 1) at Garudeshwar, Vaman Vriksha Vatika, Satpuda Protection Wall, E-Bus Charging Depot and 25 Electric Buses, Narmada Ghat Extension, Kaushalya Path, Walkway from Ekta Dwar to Shreshtha Bharat Bhavan (Phase 2), Smart Bus Stops (Phase 2), Dam Replica Fountain, and GSEC Quarters. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for the Museum of Royal Kingdoms of India, Veer Balak Udyan, Sports Complex, Rain Forest Project, Jetty Development near Shoolpaneshwar Ghat, and Travelators at the Statue of Unity.

During the programme, a special commemorative coin of ₹150 denomination and a postal stamp marking the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel will be released. These projects are expected to promote eco-tourism, green mobility, smart infrastructure, and tribal development, benefitting local communities, tourists, and the regional economy through employment generation and enhanced connectivity.

On 31 October, the Prime Minister will offer a floral tribute at the Statue of Unity at around 8 AM, followed by the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas celebrations. He will administer the Ekta pledge and witness the Ekta Diwas Parade, featuring contingents from the BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, and SSB, along with state police forces. A key highlight will be a BSF marching contingent comprising exclusively Indian breed dogs, including Rampur Hounds and Mudhol Hounds, and performances by Gujarat Police’s Horse Contingent and Assam Police’s Motorcycle Daredevils.

The parade will also honour five Shaurya Chakra awardees from the CRPF and sixteen gallantry medal winners from the BSF. Ten tableaux representing various states and organisations will depict the theme “Unity in Diversity.” A cultural programme featuring 900 artists will showcase India’s classical dances.

The Prime Minister will later interact with Officer Trainees of the 100th Foundation Course at the culmination of Aarambh 7.0, held on the theme “Reimagining Governance.” The batch includes 660 Officer Trainees from 16 civil services of India and 3 civil services of Bhutan. The event aims to inspire the youth to uphold the spirit of unity and public service envisioned by Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
