PM Narendra Modi to Address BJP ‘Janagraha Sabha’ in Telangana on May 10
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will return to Telangana’s political stage on May 10, addressing the BJP’s ‘Janagraha Sabha’ in Hyderabad—his first major public meeting in the state after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections . The rally at the Parade Grounds is expected to blend sharp political messaging with a strong emphasis on development and governance .
Before the public meeting, Modi will virtually launch projects worth nearly ₹8,000 crore from Begumpet Airport , covering infrastructure , connectivity, and urban expansion. Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao has positioned the rally as a response to what the party calls growing public dissatisfaction with the Congress. The BJP has also criticised the Bharat Rashtra Samithi , targeting its leadership under K Chandrasekhar Rao over limited public engagement.
Alongside political attacks, a broader narrative is taking shape—one that goes beyond roads and projects. The government is increasingly highlighting prison reform and rehabilitation as part of inclusive development . Across India, prisons are gradually evolving into centres of skill development , where inmates are trained in vocational trades that improve employability and help reduce reoffending .
Technology is playing a key role in this shift. Platforms like Flipkart are helping prison departments bring inmate-made products to national markets, creating income opportunities and restoring a sense of dignity among prisoners. These initiatives reflect a growing recognition that rehabilitation is not just about custody, but about preparing individuals for life beyond prison.
Equally critical is what happens after release. Without dignified livelihood opportunities , former inmates often struggle with stigma and exclusion. Structured social reintegration efforts ranging from job support to community engagement are essential to help them rebuild their lives.
