As Telangana celebrated its State Formation Day on June 2, national leaders extended their greetings to the people of the state, praising its remarkable development journey and rich cultural heritage. Messages from President Droupadi Murmu , Prime Minister Narendra Modi , Union Home Minister Amit Shah , and Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi highlighted Telangana's achievements over the past decade while reflecting on the sacrifices that led to its creation.

In her message, President Droupadi Murmu congratulated the people of Telangana and commended the state's strong cultural roots and hardworking population. She noted that Telangana has made significant strides in innovation, infrastructure, and economic development since its formation in 2014. Expressing optimism about the future, the President wished the state's residents continued prosperity, progress, and good health.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi described Telangana as a state known for its entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and resilience . Extending his greetings on the occasion, he said the state has emerged as a symbol of innovation and enterprise while preserving its vibrant cultural traditions. Modi reiterated the Centre's commitment to supporting Telangana's growth and development, emphasizing that the Union Government would continue to provide all necessary assistance as part of its broader vision of building a "Viksit Bharat" or developed India.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also conveyed his wishes, expressing confidence that Telangana would continue to achieve new milestones in industrial growth, investment, and prosperity . He said the state's dynamic business ecosystem and cultural strength would play an important role in enhancing India's economic standing globally.

Meanwhile, Rahul Gandhi paid tribute to the people who participated in the long struggle for a separate Telangana. He described the state as the outcome of the aspirations, sacrifices, and determination of millions. Remembering those who laid down their lives during the statehood movement, he said their contributions remain central to Telangana's identity. Gandhi also stated that the current Congress government is committed to advancing the ideals of social justice, equal opportunity, and inclusive development .

Telangana was officially formed on June 2, 2014 , following decades of political mobilization and public agitation for separate statehood. The creation of the state was enabled through the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014 , marking a historic moment in India's federal structure. Following the first Assembly elections, K. Chandrashekhar Rao assumed office as Telangana's first Chief Minister.

More than a decade later, Telangana has established itself as one of India's fastest-growing states, driven by rapid expansion in the technology, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and infrastructure sectors . As the state commemorates another year of its formation, the occasion serves as both a celebration of its achievements and a reminder of the historic movement that shaped its identity.
