PM Modi joins RSS 100-year celebration

The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is celebrating its centenary across the country. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to attend the centenary celebrations as the chief guest on October 1 (Wednesday) at the Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi, according to the PMO. During the event, PM Modi is expected to release commemorative postage stamps and coins recognizing the RSS’s contributions to the nation. He will also address the gathering.

Mention in mann ki baat

In his recent “Mann Ki Baat” program, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the 100-year journey of the RSS, praising its unique and inspiring service to the nation. He noted the special significance of the centenary celebrations, recalling that the RSS was founded in 1925 on Vijayadashami by Dr. K. B. Hedgewar. Gurujī established the organization with the noble goal of serving the country at a time when India was under foreign rule, struggling with subjugation, and losing self-respect and confidence.

PM Modi lauded the RSS’s century-long journey as remarkable, inspiring, and exceptional. He emphasized that the organization has always followed the principle of “Nation First” and has stood resilient during natural disasters like storms and earthquakes. He expressed his hope that the organization, founded to instill social and cultural awareness, discipline, and a spirit of national service among citizens, will continue to thrive and contribute to nation-building.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi extended his best wishes to all RSS volunteers for their continued service to the nation.
