Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a series of high-level bilateral meetings with leaders from Greece, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and the UAE on the sidelines of the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi , focusing on enhancing trade, investment, and strategic cooperation in emerging technologies. The summit provided a platform for world leaders to meet Modi in quick succession, allowing focused discussions without scheduling delays.

The day began with a morning meeting with Swiss President Guy Parmelin , where both leaders reviewed the full spectrum of bilateral relations, including trade, investment, science and technology, innovation, skill development, and cultural exchanges. They welcomed the momentum generated by the India-EFTA Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA) , under which Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland plan investments of USD 100 billion in India over the next 15 years. The leaders also agreed to strengthen innovation-led growth, joint research, knowledge sharing, and capacity-building initiatives, aiming to elevate the India-Switzerland partnership to new heights.

Later in the day, Modi met Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof to discuss ways to deepen collaboration in water management, agriculture, health, clean energy, green hydrogen, and defence. Both leaders highlighted the historic potential of the India-EU Free Trade Agreement to expand trade and economic ties. They reaffirmed their commitment to address regional and international developments together, including a stronger global fight against terrorism. Modi also reiterated India’s position on the Ukraine conflict, emphasizing the need for its earliest possible resolution.

Then Modi met Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis , reviewing the entire strategic partnership. They discussed new avenues for cooperation and noted that recent high-level visits and the India-EU FTA would further boost trade and investment opportunities between the two nations. The discussions covered both bilateral priorities and broader regional and global issues of mutual interest.

The day concluded with a meeting with Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan , focusing on futuristic sectors such as artificial intelligence, supercomputers, and data centres. Both leaders reaffirmed the importance of the India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership , which spans political, cultural, commercial, energy, and people-to-people ties. They highlighted significant two-way investment flows and encouraged UAE Sovereign Wealth Funds to continue investing in the Indian economy. Collaborative opportunities in space, nuclear energy, technology, and innovation were also explored.
